Learn Spanish in one night
and support Peterborough Soup Kitchen
Friday 12th March 2010 7.30pm to 9.30pm El Cedar Centre, Castor Prices £10.00 per ticket or 11.40 Euros | |
Imagine... Imagine learning enough Spanish to enjoy ‘going native’ in Spain, whilst on holiday? Get lost and ask directions, order a meal or a round of drinks, go shopping, order your train ticket, barter with a gypsy or handle the policeman at customs. Whatever you might want to learn we can help with. Rowena Homan and Carlos Dominguez have organised for a Spanish night in Castor Cedar Centre from 7.30-9.30 pm. For most people the experience of learning a language is repeating the same sentence over and over again on a tape in the car or evening class, or at school in a booth with heavy and uncomfortable headphones. BORING, BORING, BORING..... Fun and interactive This is a Spanish evening with the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and cultural delights of this fascinating country. Learn how to have a conversation whilst munching on a Spanish tortilla and a glass of Rioja (sun tanning cream and Hello magazines are optional). It will be great fun. Fiesta time... Working in small groups We intend people to learn together in small groups, so that they can start to converse with friends. We will have a Spanish speaker on each table, so your leaning will almost be ‘uno a uno’. ‘Trivial Pursuit’ fact
Castor and Ailsworth has at least 3
native Spanish speakers.
